So, Bogota Is Fantastico

There is street art all over the city and it's all incredible.
Not many choices for beer here. Club Colombia is like the Budweisser of Colombia.

Day 1 in Colombia felt like an entire week! We did some exploring during the day and found some really tasty food. Had a surprisingly delicious quinoa burger. Then hung out with fellow travelers that are staying at the hostel. It's so much fun getting to know others that are also traveling around foreign countries. Everyone has such interesting stories. Then apparently Tuesday night is Gringo night at a nearby club. The intention is to provide a place for travelers to meet up and get to know each other. The reality seemed to be that the club was using it as a way to get more people into the club. It was packed! Had a good time dancing and meeting people from all over the world. Didn't get to bed until 5 in the morning where we proceeded to sleep until noon. Today Fabienne and I explored the city with our new Guatemalan friend Sebastian. He'll be moving to San Francisco soon so I'm hoping to meet up with him once I'm back stateside. We explored La Candelaria which is the old part of town. Tons of beautiful buildings and artwork everywhere. We grabbed a beer at the Bolivia Brewing Company. Their IPA was delicious and a nice break from the mediocre pilsners that seem to be everywhere. Tomorrow night we'll be taking a bus to Armenia where we'll be meeting up with one of Fabienne's friends.

Since I didn't bring my laptop, I won't be able to edit and upload any pictures from my DSLR. I'll be doing my best to take decent and interesting photos with my phone. Viewer discretion advised!
