Car Cooking: Ice Cream

In case you haven't seen it yet, I attempted to make ice cream in my car.

It was semi-successful...

Let's Relay!

What have I been doing?

- Still learning French. Le français est toujours difficile
- Learning how to day trade (AKA risk managed gambling)
- Thinking about how I'm not really doing anything

But there have been a couple big moments!

Relay For Life was last weekend. As Volunteer co-chair, my Dad has been busy all year planning this thing. It was another successful relay!

I helped drive the ATV/trailer around to assist teams with bringing stuff to their sites. Here's Jude teaching me how to drive.

Here's my Dad being presented with his very prestigious award. Everyone had nothing but incredible things to say about him. #proudSon

Relay kickoff with the survivors lap.

The event at night, after lighting the luminarias surrounding the track.

Then the next day I had just enough time to go home, shower, shave and get dressed for a wedding. John and Sabina got married in Northampton and graciously invited me to attend. It was a beautiful wedding and a great time catching up with high school friends and parents.

And then I actually spent a day working and earning money! I wasn't sure if I could do it, but I pulled it off. I helped Christian out by photographing a house that his company had framed. Gorgeous house in Charlestown, RI.

Bouldering and Bostoning

Update #1: I bought a flight to France! I'll be spending time with Camille at her new home from July 10th to August 23rd. She'll be working the entire time but we'll hopefully have plenty of time during her off days to go climbing and explore the region.

Je dois apprendre le français maintenant!

Also America Tim and Tim Murph will hopefully be joining me for 8 days in early August where we'll drink lots of beer in Belgium and climb at France's Fontainebleau.

But until then I'll be having a wonderful time in Massachusetts. The Tims and I went night bouldering last week at Happy Valley. For me it was an affirmation of my inability to crimp on small holds. We had a great time though.

For Memorial Day my Dad and I visited with Pat and Kate. Chloe was an absolute gem. She didn't scream or cry all day and put up with me holding her for a bit.

Jude was his usual silly self. We had a great time playing in his bounce house (where was my bounce house when I was his age??).

Tim and I also drove to Boston to visit some friends and drink some beers. Jesse mentioned a tower on Prospect Hill that he's been wanting to climb. So around 2 AM we rode out bikes there and attempted this challenge. It was significantly harder than he made it sound. I got about 2/3 of the way up before requesting a rope in order to me to get back down. Maybe some day we'll see the summit!

Either way the view of Boston was great.

Then I drove back up to Boston the next day with my Dad to visit his brother Mark. We had a nice lunch on his terrace overlooking the state house. Perfect day with great company!
