PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take note of the matching camouflage pillow cases and comforter. |
Waited a couple hours in my bag for dawn, packed up my stuff and hiked out of the canyon. It was a beautiful and chilly hike out. Given my recent addiction to Edward Abbey, I gave the shuttle bus the middle finger and hiked the 2.5 miles via the Rim Trail back to my car. And well friends, after driving 1,400 miles in 1 week, going 9 days without a shower and hiking 36 miles in the last 4 days, I have to admit that I totally caved. I disregarded my budget and dropped some homeless unemployed cash on a motel. I'm cleaned up, editing photos, updating the blog, and going to town on a large veggie pizza from Pizza Hut and it feels like heaven. To paraphrase
Pablo Garcia:
When you live with very few things there are a lot of things that make you happy, like getting a hotel and taking a hot shower. I agree. Tomorrow shall be my Sunday. I will do laundry and go grocery shopping. Woo!
