Eldo Fo Sho

Sam, her friend Jason and I headed to Eldorado Canyon for a day of trad climbing. Sam and I started by climbing the Bastille Crack [5.8], which happened to be my first multi-pitch trad lead last time I was here with Jacquie.

We then headed up to the Rincon Wall. Here's Jason bravely leading the very stout and sandbagged Rincon [5.9+]. It rained a little bit, but our parade was not spoiled.

The sun came out just before ducking behind the mountains. A fine day indeed.

Crooked Stave and North Table

Let's see what else Denver has to offer. With some recently hot days, a sour beer or two would quench the thirst perfectly. Crooked Stave delivered! A huge menu of sours available, many of them aged in oak barrels, and all of them were delicious. 5/5 would recommend.

Had some time to kill before meeting up with Sam and Nate so I checked out North Table Mountain. A nice expanse of decent climbing right within Golden, CO. Within 10 minutes of being there I was able to score 2 quickdraws that were left on fairly easy routes. Found some fun cracks and slabs to scramble around on. Unfortunately, the Coors factory is right below the mountain and with the right breeze a gnarly smell of boiling mash would envelope the entire area. The aroma of a terrible beer being born could be smelled for miles! Way to ruin that Rocky Mountain fresh water...

Pool Party!

Yep, still hanging around the Denver area. While all y'all back east are getting excited about sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes, I'm kickin it by the pool, getting my tan on.

After the pool party, we ventured to downtown Denver to watch our friend spin some tunes at a cool rooftop Bar. The music and the view were enjoyed by all.

Clear Creek Canyon

Joined Nate and Sam for a day of climbing in Clear Creek. Super cool climbing in a beautiful canyon! We then feasted at a BBQ and bonfire at Katie's place.  Having a hard time justifying why I don't just move to Colorado (looking at you, friends and fam).

The Harvest Is Coming

Found a nice place to camp just over the border of Colorado. While getting some food together for dinner, this big rock came out of nowhere!
